Hi, in April 2025, my family and I are embarking on a heartfelt journey to the Mother of Peace Orphanage near Johannesburg, South Africa.
For over 30 years, this incredible organisation has been a lifeline for children affected by poverty, abuse, and the HIV/AIDS crisis. It’s more than just an orphanage – it’s a place of love, education, and hope, where 30 children are given the chance to heal, grow, and dream of brighter futures.
Why Football Shirts Matter
At the Mother of Peace Orphanage, football isn’t just a game – it’s a passion that brings smiles, laughter, and a sense of unity to children who’ve faced unimaginable hardship. Just like millions across Africa, they live and breathe football.
As part of our trip, we’ll be leading football skills training, organising matches, and spreading the joy that this beautiful sport brings. But here’s where YOU can help:
🏟️ We’re collecting pre-loved football shirts – from kids’ sizes through to adults (staff sizes are needed too!).
Whether it’s a shirt your child has outgrown or they’re swapping their Man City top for a shiny new Liverpool one this Christmas, don’t throw it out – give it new life! These shirts will be handed by us, directly to the children in April – making their day in ways you can’t imagine.
