Reading FC – “I’m Always There”

When I’m not busy working as a Reading FC Ambassador or reporting for the Junior Royals, you’ll usually find me doing what I love most—playing football. I play as a right-sided centre-back for my local village team, and I absolutely love every minute of it. There’s just something about the game that has always drawn me in, whether it’s the adrenaline of matchday, the teamwork, or the sheer joy of playing with my friends. Football isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a way of life.

But football is just one part of who I am. When I’m not on the pitch or supporting Reading FC, I dive headfirst into another passion of mine: music. I’ve always been fascinated by how music can express emotions and tell stories in a way that nothing else can. And for me, writing songs is a way to channel my feelings, experiences, and observations about the world around me.

My Love for Football

Let’s start with football, though. Being a centre-back is a special role—it’s not just about defending but also leading from the back, organising the team, and making sure everyone stays focused. I love the challenge of reading the game, timing my tackles, and making those crucial interceptions. It’s a position where you need to stay sharp, make quick decisions, and always be aware of what’s happening on the pitch. It’s intense, but that’s exactly why I love it.

Playing for my local village team keeps me grounded and gives me the opportunity to grow as a player. Every match is a chance to improve, whether we win or lose. And although I’m dedicated to my role on the pitch, I’ve realised that football, for me, goes beyond just playing the game. It’s about community, friendship, and the bond I share with my teammates and fans. That same sense of camaraderie is something I experience when I represent Reading FC as a Junior Royals Ambassador.

A Deep Connection to Reading FC

Speaking of Reading FC, being a Junior Royals Ambassador has been an amazing journey. As an Ambassador, my role is to represent young fans like me and make sure their voices are heard. Whether it’s offering suggestions to improve the matchday experience or interacting with the club’s staff and players, it’s a role that I take seriously. It’s not just about attending matches—it’s about being part of something bigger.

My connection to Reading FC goes way back. Football has always been a generational thing in my family. My dad, my grandad, and even my great-grandad have all been loyal supporters of Reading FC. I grew up hearing stories about their experiences with the club—about the highs and lows, the memorable matches, and the unwavering support they’ve shown over the years. It’s this deep-rooted family tradition that inspired me to express my feelings for the club in a song. In fact i came to my first game aged 6 months old!

Writing “Reading FC – I’m Always There”

One of the most exciting things I’ve done with my love for music is writing and producing a song for Reading FC. My dad and I often sit down together to write songs, and it’s become one of our favourite things to do. We take inspiration from the things happening around us—whether it’s something personal, an observation about life, or, in this case, our shared love for Reading FC.

The song, titled “Reading FC – I’m Always There“, was a way for me to put into words the emotions I feel every time I watch Reading play. It’s not just about supporting the club through thick and thin; it’s about how that support has been passed down through generations in my family. Football, and particularly Reading FC, is something that connects me to my dad, my grandad, and even my great-grandad. We all share this bond, and it’s something that will continue for generations to come.

Writing the song was a deeply personal experience for me. I wanted to capture that sense of loyalty, the ups and downs of being a fan, and how no matter what happens on the pitch, we’ll always be there for the Royals. The song reflects my belief that supporting a football club is about more than just the 90 minutes on matchday—it’s about the memories, the emotions, and the connection you have with the people around you.

Producing and Sharing My Music

After we finished writing the song, my dad and I worked on getting it produced. It was an amazing experience to bring our words to life and create something that others could listen to. I’m really proud of the result, and it feels incredible to know that other Reading fans can connect with the emotions behind the song.

Reading FC – I’m Always There” is available on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Pandora. It’s a surreal feeling to know that people from all over can listen to something I created, and I hope that it resonates with Reading fans as much as it does with me.

Aside from the song about Reading FC, I’ve also written and produced other songs that reflect my thoughts and experiences. Music, for me, is a way to express what I can’t always put into words in normal conversation. It’s therapeutic, creative, and allows me to connect with people in a unique way.

Balancing Football, Music, and Being a Junior Royals Ambassador

Balancing my love for football, my passion for music, and my role as a Junior Royals Ambassador is sometimes a challenge, but it’s one I welcome with open arms. Football and music are two sides of the same coin for me—both require dedication, creativity, and a willingness to learn and improve. Whether I’m on the pitch defending a corner or sitting at home writing lyrics with my dad, I always feel like I’m doing something meaningful.

Being a Junior Royals Ambassador has given me the platform to combine these passions. I get to represent young fans, share my love for football, and even express my creativity through music. It’s the perfect blend of everything I enjoy, and it’s helped me grow in so many ways—not just as a football fan, but as a person.

Final Thoughts

For me, football and music are more than just hobbies—they’re two of the biggest parts of my life. Whether I’m playing as a centre-back for my local team, cheering on Reading FC as an Ambassador, or writing songs with my dad, I’m always trying to make the most of these passions. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had so far, and I can’t wait to see where they take me next.

If you’d like to listen to my music, including “Reading FC – I’m Always There“, you can find it on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Pandora. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
